What Are The Benefits of Advertising Your Coaching Private Business
Hello, hello. This is Sasha Raskin. I'm going live from Boulder, Colorado. I'm a counselor and a coach. And I'm the founder of the Six Figure Practice which is a private practice accelerator for counselors and coaches.
What we're going to talk about today is a super important subject and it's a question that many counselors and coaches have asked themselves whether at the beginning of their practice or in a more advanced stage. And the question is, "Should I invest in paid advertising or not?" Now, first of all, that's already a much better question to ask than should I spend money on paid advertising, right? Spending money just means that you're throwing your money away, investing your money means that you're going to get a return on your investment.
So I'll get today answer real quick just to make it short and simple. You cannot afford not investing in paid advertising if you want to grow your practice in a steady, consistent and fast pace.
So you know what's the deal, right? You have been trained to help your counseling clients or coaching clients and you are pretty good at what you're doing, but you don't have enough clients to help which is a problem. And if you do, maybe you don't have a consistent way to create new clients which is a problem as well. So what is the easiest way to do that?
In our private practice accelerator, the Six Figure Practice, we talk about different strategies that you can use to grow your practice and the right order to do that, and that's super important. First of all, there is no one right strategy, you should be using a few several ones. And also some of them take longer but might be free.
And some of them are very helpful shortcuts that does cost money but if we do a quick math let's say that you're investing $300 into paid advertising a month and you're getting at least one client a month from doing that which pays let's say for the sake of super round numbers $100 per session, which is a pretty low fee for many areas, this is 400 that you're getting after you invested 300 and clients usually stay more than a month with your, right? On average is about six months. And so this is a pretty good deal, right? You're giving 300 away, you're getting 400 multiplied by six back.
Now Google ads is by far the most effective way to do paid advertising. And it will take you just a few hours to learn the whole thing and to set it up, and once you do you have it up and running.
A good budget to start with would be about 10 bucks a day or 300 a month, and that should be, if you're just starting out, more of an investment to learn how to do this thing, to practice it, to improve your campaign until you start getting results. Now additional beauty is you just turn it on, turn it on, you have your ad up and running, you can actually choose almost the position of it on the first page of Google or not the first page based on your bid and you'll get charged only when people click your ad. And with writing a super targeted ad towards people who are actually looking for a counselor and are ready to start working with, or a coach, with you you're saving a lot of money.
Now I promised I'll give you a quick tip that will save you time and money, and here we go - the majority of counselors and coaches who invest in paid advertising would do that usually either with Google ads or with Facebook ads. Now the big secret is actually in Bing. Bing is a Microsoft search engine and they have exactly the same platform as Google in terms of advertising. And they actually have a few advantages.
While more people definitely use Google to search for services, for example, many still use Bing, and the ones that do, the population, is usually over 30 years of age which means they're probably in a better position to pay for coaching or counseling. And usually that's around the population that counselors and coaches work with. And even if you are a family therapist and let's say you work with teens or kids, the person who would be looking for your service is the parent anyway, right? So this is where your population is at.
Also because most people use Google ads as their main platform for paid advertising and Bing ads is less familiar you will actually pay way less to get more clicks using Bing. And in terms of a learning curve if you already know Google ads and familiar with that or you're going to put in the time and effort to learn that there's a magic button in Bing ads which is import Google ads campaign, right? You don't have to even build the whole things from scratch, you can simply import an existing and proven campaign from Google ads into Bing and you're off to the races, right? And suddenly you're advertising to a new audience that use Bing and not Google that other counselors and coaches don't advertise to and they're actually more in your target audience.
