We talk a lot about Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and content marketing (such as blogging and vlogging) in the 6-figure Practice program because it is by far the best strategy for free private practice advertising. As the founder of our private practice accelerator, my goal is to make SEO simple and easy for counselors and coaches who oftentimes are overwhelmed by marketing.
Simple and easy are important. While blogging is one of the most powerful ways to be found by your perfect clients for free, there is an incredible reluctance among counselors and coaches to blog, at least consistently.
I get it. Scarred by the memories of writing endless papers in their master’s programs, bachelor’s, or simply haunted by memories from high school, writing and fun are not usually correlated.
But guess what… With financial freedom, time freedom, choose-how-you-work-with-clients freedom, and in some cases even geographical freedom that all come bundled with a thriving private practice, comes the freedom to choose which marketing strategies you use and how.
What if you didn’t need to write at all but still consistently produce LONG blog posts? By the way, to be found on Google your blog post length should be at least 2,400 words. How long would it take you to write that much content? And will you? And if you will, could you do it once a week or once in two weeks?
For many, the answer is hell no!
So let’s look at a different way and let’s illustrate one of my methods with an example of a post I just posted on my coaching website:
Sasha Raskin (ADHD Coach) and Dr. Peter Robbins (Psychiatrist) Talk ADHD Coaching, Diagnosis & Meds
The breakdown for the amount of work it took:
1. Schedule a time with Dr. Robbins to talk (emails back and forth) – 5 min
2. Record a zoom video call with Dr. Robbins (no preparation, just free and fun conversation): 1 hour
3. Download the recorded zoom call from zoom and upload the video to youtube – 5 min
4. Order a transcription on Fiverr and submit instructions – $20 and 5 min. This can also be done for free with the help of various software and a bit of tweaking on your end.
5. Post the video with the transcript as a blog post with basic SEO – 5 min
Result: An original, keyword-reach 9000 words blog post for $20 and 1 hour and 20 min of effortless work.
Bonuses:
1. Fun conversation about ADHD from which I learned a lot
2. A good professional relationship with Dr. Robbins that turned into a mutual referral relationship as well
3. I wrote the blog post you’re reading right now in fifteen minutes using the example you’re reading right now!
SEO should and can be one of your most important marketing strategies for growing your private practice! It also can and should be effortless, fun, and provide many various benefits for you, your readers, your potential clients, your colleagues, and your readers!

About the 6-Figure Practice Program:
The Six Figure Practice with Sasha Raskin, is an online program and community for helpers such as counselors and coaches, who are building their private practice. If you’re looking for a clear, step-by-step road map for creating and marketing your private practice, you’re at the right place!
My name is Sasha Raskin. I’m a Number 1 Best Selling Co-Author in 12 Countries, a Doctoral student in Counseling Education and Supervision, a coach, a psychotherapist and an adjunct faculty at a graduate counseling program at Naropa University.
One of the things I’m enjoying the most is helping other therapists and coaches build their successful private practice so that they could actually help the clients they were taught to help, and thrive themselves. I’m almost always fully booked, so my ability to work with individuals is limited. That is why I’ve created this program to deliver powerful results and create a community where you will feel supported by each other!
This program’s primary goal is to help you build a thriving private practice, in a fun and authentic way. Counselors and coaches invest an incredible amount of time, money, and effort into building their helping skills. However, when their training ends, they usually find themselves lacking the business skills that are needed to start and run a successful private practice, feel isolated, discouraged and not knowing where to start.
I believe that to be truly helpful to others, therapists and coaches have to learn to thrive themselves and definitely know how to get clients whom they can help.
This is where this program comes in. If you’re willing to learn and work hard, a 6-figure private practice is within your reach in a year – 2 years. This program will give you a clear outline, and detailed instructions on how to get there.
