When you’re running a paid advertising campaign (the fastest way to grow your clientele), either via Google Ads or some other platform, it’s crucial to keep adjusting and improving your campaign, instead of setting it and forgetting it.
Whether you’re managing your campaign by yourself or you have a company that does that for you, making sure you have the right negative keywords in your campaign can save you a lot of headache and money in the longterm.
For example, if you’re advertising online counseling (which is especially important these days, see a tutorial I made here), and not getting any inquiries, one of the possible reasons is that the people who see these ads are just not your potential clients. One example of that scenario would be future counselors who are looking for counseling schools online and search for “online counseling schools”. If you don’t add the word “school” as a negative keyword to your marketing, your ad will keep on showing up in their results.
